Abba To Re-Unite? Sort Of…

Is one of the greatest pop groups of all going to come together and reunite and make all 40 and 50-year-old people of the world lose their mind? Yes and No. Abba is teaming up with music manager Simon Fuller who is known for being the manager of many artists none so prominent than the Spice Girls, he is also the creator of Pop Idol and American Idol.

So what is this reunion of sorts all about? Well, the group said that they would be using new technology including virtual reality and artificial intelligence which kind of makes you say “Meh”. I think virtual reality is awesome and I support all the strides they are making to advance the technology but I’ll always be a fan of going to the concert and living that experience, at best this could be a nice recreational experience.

Simon Fuller released this statement saying, “We are exploring a new technological world that will allow us to create new forms of entertainment and content we couldn’t have previously imagined”.  He later said that the full details of this project will be released in 2017.

My reaction to this is like saying that Elvis is coming back in virtual reality, exciting in the beginning but loses its steam the more you think about it.
