Chicago School Shuts Down Christian Haunted House!

For all you Christians who think your religion speaks and boasts of tolerance of all people and one that embraces everyone, you might want to check that again because a school in Chicago has shut down a haunted house titled ‘The Room’

A minister or at least that’s what Tyrone Tappler calls himself organized  a ‘Christian’ haunted house event as a Chicago elementary school. What was depicted in this haunted house is horrendous and could even go so far as calling it a hate crime.

The haunted house depicts the Pulse nightclub massacre as well as a botched abortion among other horrifying elements in here. The tickets were priced at 10-20 US Dollars. According to the description of craigslist, a person would enter 10 rooms and would “encounter individuals who will make choices. The choice is life or death; sin or salvation; heaven or hell.” The school has since shut down the operations. broke

This is what Tyrone Tappler said in his defense, “”I yielded to the voice of God, when he told me to write, my first inspirational stage play ‘Help Lord, I’m Under Attack!’ which depicts the life of Sandra and how she battles with the consequences of her wrong decisions.” The house included 9 African-Americans being killed by 21-year old Dylan Roof.

When this story broke, I was shocked and honestly thought this was a joke against Christians but this is real and inequality anywhere is inequality everywhere. Don’t force your beliefs under people’s throat, we live in a society which wants to be tolerant and understanding of everybody. Showing the Pulse massacre that killed over 40 people and a botched abortion. You have insulted millions of people.

I’m a Christian and I’ve been exposed to the good side and the bad side of it. What’s interesting about Christianity is that people are so quick to hold people to the standard of the old testament but people never talk about the love and forgiveness part. Even if you believe that homosexuality or abortion is a sin, what happens to love and forgiveness? What happens to tolerance and embracing different people?

This is what makes me angry and this is present is most religions if not all that you pick and chose certain passages of your holy book to suit your agenda but won’t hold yourself or forget certain passage when you would be accountable or guilty under it.

For me living under Christianity is simple, I think most Christians are good people and try to do the right thing as it is with all religions. If you don’t believe in gay marriage don’t marry the same sex. If you don’t believe in abortion don’t take any form of contraception and I know Christians who preach about abortion do take contraception in marital relations but that’s a whole other standard. If you don’t believe in people doing things that are different. You don’t do it. It’s that simple.

It’s that simple”Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged”. That’s in the Bible by the way just saying.
