Hamilton VS Mike Pence

If you haven’t heard of the show Hamilton. Let us fill you in. It’s a show about the historic figure Alexander Hamilton. It’s also known for selling out tickets faster than your overweight relative eats the turkey on Thanksgiving.

Hamilton is now coming into light for another reason. VP-Elect Mike Pence has gone to the show on broadway and was noticed by actor Brandon Victor Dixon and addressed him as Pence was about to leave.

“We, sir, are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights.”

The actor followed up by ending it with a truly quotable moment.

“We truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values.”

This news hit social media like a bomb and people were extremely supportive of the cast of Hamilton, but there were some who thought this appeal to protect scared citizens of America was an insult and created the #BoycottHamilton

Nobody reacted to this as swiftly as Donald Trump followed by other GOP parties.
